Mission
The mission of the Children's Institute of Fashion Arts, Inc. is to provide learning experiences and exhibition programs for children in the cultural and practical studies of textiles, clothing, fashion and design; to educate the public through ongoing exhibitions and programs on the interdisciplinary nature of fashion and related fields of art, science, history, cultural studies, sociology, social psychology, human development, technology and the natural environment; to inspire children to be industrious, creative problem solvers; to do any other act or thing incidental to or connected with the foregoing purposes or in advancement thereof, but not for the pecuniary profit or financial gain of its members, directors, or officers except as permitted under Article 5 of the Not-For-Profit Corporation Law.
Vision
The mission of the Children's Institute of Fashion Arts is to teach young people and children at heart to use fibers and fabrics in interesting wearable ways and to express their authentic selves through self express and to build community based on mutual respect, play, and communication.
